Hands-on Mummy

Would you rather be a Hands-on mother or would you rather leave your baby with a babysitter?

I was at a relative’s last week whom is a babysitter. She had in her care a 4 months old baby boy. That baby boy was left in her care because his daddy had to work and his mother couldn’t manage him alone. How could a mother not be able to take care of her own child? Isn’t it a natural instinct kind of thing?

I became a father almost 6 months ago. At first I didn’t know anything. Through the months, I learned to change the diaper, bottle feed, change clothes, etc. It was done and learned all out of love.

Back to this baby boy. His daddy will drop him off at the babysitter at 8 am. He is not cleaned. He is still wearing the same set of clothes the day before, before he left for home from the babysitter’s. Without fail, his diaper will be full of shit when the babysitter bathes him at 9 am. Probably he is in the same diaper the day before. He has this rash all over his body especially at the neck and groin area. The babysitter said that it is probably because he was not cleaned when he is home at night. His father will pick him up at 7pm without fail everyday. He also spends the day at the babysitter even though his parents are at home.

I pity the baby boy. How could a parent do such a thing. How can a parent neglect his/her own child? It seems the baby boy was not even breast fed a single time.

My wife decided to become a full time mother and quit her job when our baby arrived. She has been breast feeding since day one. I miss my baby when I am at work and have now decided to work from home instead. We just want to be close to our baby. Its a feeling which words cannot describe.

Woi! If YOU are reading this, be more responsible lah. If a baby is ever a burden to YOU. Put on a condom next time lah. Apparently, they had a shot-gun wedding.

Being your baby is indeed great. My hubby even learn to shower the baby. Off course he was scare at first coz the baby is so fragile mah. But now everything are ok. My kids are 3 and 5, he still shower them in the morning. But I cannot tahan like you say, the baby go to the baby sitter with the clothes he wear the day before. Eee……….. We shower our baby when they woke up in the morning - off course give them a rest for 30 minutes first we we shower them. The mother buat apa at home? Cannot take care of the baby??? Mau shiok tak mau kerja kah?

Every actions have got their consequences. Someone was brought to this world suffering! I really pity the baby. I cannot imagine when the baby had poo poo in her diapers, the parents didn’t even bother!

wahlau, so cilaka 1 the parents, i read oso tulan. a friend of mine working in singapore recently said that if she ever conceive and have a baby she would send the baby to her mom in melaka to be taken care of coz she can’t afford to quit her job while the husband’s not financially equipped to raise a family in singapore. niamah, the baby not even here yet already plan to send him/her far far away. just can’t understand how some ppl think. they think beranak is something as trivial as minum kopi like dat…be a bit responsible la wei, don’t want jaga anak, better don’t beranak, and no money oso better dont beranak!

Andy - The mother has the cheek to tell the babysitter that the baby needs changing because he poo-ed when she drops the baby off in the morning. Meaning she knows he poo-ed but rather not change his diaper. Sometimes the shit has already hardened I was told. So it could have been hours already. Sigh.

Sooi2- Belum pregnant already planning where to put the baby ar? Tell her to sell lah, can get money and no need to take care. Double sigh.
